EXHIBITIONS: THE ARTIST IS THE CHOSEN ONE
This exhibition presents the methods of contemporary artistic practice, thematizing the identity of the artist. The selected works incorporate purely biographical subjects, or take place at the level of the construction of fictitious identities and paradocuments. The project interconnects captivation by stereotypes passed on by film and literary biographies, with a regular consideration of the ambiguous social status of the contemporary artist. Adéla Babanová, David Helán, Tomáš Hodboď, Martin Horák, Martin Kohout, Svätopluk Mikyta, Filip Nerad, Vít Soukup, Václav Stratil, Mark Ther, Teri Varhol
VOJTĚCH FRÖLICH / FRAGILE CINEMA
This exhibition presents a video recording of a 24-hour performance by Vojtěch Frölich during which the artist stops time with a manic desire, thus becoming a depiction of ”artistic“ indispensability – the artist is not just connected with the presentation of the exhibited artefacts, but also with the method of the creative process. 19.00, 21.00 Guided tours with curators Marika Kupková and Martin Mazanec
